Zakho Center for Kurdish Studies organized a seminar for the Kurdish historian, Mr. Saeed Razvani, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Khalil Khayali Hall at the Faculty of Humanities. The seminar was held in the presence of faculty members and university students.
The seminar discussed the History, Customs, Traditions, and Geography of Zakho. Moreover, light was shed on how Zakho was, and still is, a symbol of tolerance, where diverse ethnic groups coexist peacefully.
The presenter debated the major obstacles that were encountered in writing the history of Zakho due to the scarcity of sources and historic pieces of evidence about Zakho. He also mentioned his reliance on the information scattered in the books authored in other languages.
At the end, a question-and-answer session emerged.
