The Independent High Electoral Commission—Duhok Office held a seminar entitled “Voter Registration Renewal Process” at the University of Zakho on February 11, 2024.

The event was conducted in the presence of the President of the UoZ, Dr. Nadhim S. Jacksi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs, and Vice President for Student Affairs.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ramadhan J. Mustafa warmly welcomed the guests and shed light on the role that UoZ plays in serving society and in the domestic affairs of the region.

Thereafter, the Director of the Independent High Electoral Commission—Duhok Office delivered his seminar and thoroughly discussed the mission of the Electoral Commission, the Council of Commissioners, the election law, the process of renewing voter cards and distributing them, the role of the commission in ensuring the integrity of the electronic election process, and the statistics analyzed by the commission.

 

At the end of the seminar, the attendees were given the opportunity to ask for more clarifications on topics discussed during the seminar.
