From 9/12/2022 to 14/12/2022, Director of Career Development Center at the University of Zakho Ms. Berivan Mohammed Ahmed and Coordinator of the Center at Faculty of Science Mr. Ahmed Luqman Alyousify participated in the “Training of Trainers in Entrepreneurship” course which was conducted by the German organization GIZ with the financial support of the European Union in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the Crystal Hotel in Erbil for seven Career Development Centers in Kurdistan Regional Universities.

The course lasted for six days, under the supervision of Dr. Khatab Ahmad Director of Education, Planning and Monitoring and under the guidance of Mr. Kochar Azad Director of Career Development Centers in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In the last day, Dr. Abdulfattah Abdulrazzaq, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Dr. Amir Abdulrahman, Advisor to the Ministry participated in the course and distributed certificates to the participants.

It is worth mentioning that the aim of this project is to encourage and train students to develop their thoughts, work and business and work to establish their own independent business.

In the first phase, 420 students from seven Kurdistan universities will benefit from this course. In each university, about 60 students will be trained to work and develop their ideas to create their own independent businesses. Fortunately, University of Zakho is one of the seven universities participating in this project.
