Helmholtz Zentrum Dresden Rossendurf (HZDR), a well-known research center for the areas of matter, health, and energy which is located in the countryside of Dresden/Germany, invited undergraduate Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering students of the University of Zakho. The students took part in two short-term training programs focusing on multiphase flow measurement techniques. HZDR research and training center hosted the first group of 31 students on 9th of October, 2018, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering- Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department -Dr. Hussein J. Zekri, and Mrs. Halima A. Othman. The entire program and students facilitations were funded and sponsored by DAAD. The students were keen to learn and gain experiences in the field, as they actively took part and attended all the seminars on multiphase flow measurement techniques given by a number of professors and Ph.D. students of HZDR. Besides, they visited some laboratories, such as; High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Ion Beam, Wire Mesh Sensor (WMS), Germa-Ray and X-Ray of HZDR. During the training, students were given a sheet of questions to be explained and summed up with their feedback on the training outcomes and what they learned. These feedbacks were summarized in a presentation by each student and presented at the end of the training course as a part of the training program. The program ended by awarding each student a participation certificate authorized by HZDR.
