On May 6, 2015, a one- day activity entitled "Microbes in Our Life" was held at the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Zakho. At this occasion, different types of diseases and their causative agents (causative microorganism) were covered. A group of participants outlined their presentations on a variety of subjects and their impacts on our environment and society, including: "Transmission of Diseases, Pathogenesis of Microbes, Manifestations (outward appearances), Diagnosis of the Causative Agents, Treatments, Ideal Way for Prevention".
