On Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 11:00 am, Dr. Kamaran Ibrahim Khalil-Head of the Department of Kurdish Language welcomed a delegate consisted of professors and students from Koya University .
In the beginning, in the presence of professors and staff of Kurdish Department, a short meeting was held. Then another meeting was held at the Hall of Khalil Khayali to focus on the role of universities, especially Kurdish Department in developing languages.
It is worth mentioning that at the start of the meeting, a speech was delivered by Dr. Mehvan M. Hussein-Assistant of the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. In his speech, he talked about the history of the foundation of the University of Zakho, and the role of the university in the progress of the society.
After that, a speech was delivered by the Head of Kurdish Department. In his speech, he warmly welcomed the delegate of Koya University. Then he talked about the activities of Kurdish Dept. e.g. annual conference of the department, and commemorating Mother Language Day.
Then a speech was made by Dr.Rezan S.Mawloud. In her speech, she thanked the Kurdish Department for their efforts and warm welcome.
