On Monday, February 15, 2021, the President of the University of Zakho Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel, the members of the university council, deans of colleges and faculties, meet the Kurdish inventor Dr. Azad Najar, who invented a new generation of artificial heart pump called “Real Heart”, at the presidency building.

In the meeting with the university council, Dr. Azad praised the vital role and responsibility of the University of Zakho in developing Kurdistan’s educational, technological and social sectors. The two sides also discussed ways to collaborate in the future.

At the end of the meeting, the president of the university thanked Dr. Najar for his contributions to the world, notably an artificial heart, and praised his innovative work, highlighting the great honor his work and international recognition carry as a Kurdish doctor.
