On Thursday 8th of June & Sunday 11th of June, 2017, a delegate headed by the Asst. Prof. Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem, dean of the college of engineering/University of Zakho, alongside with two of his colleagues Mr. Hasan and Mr. Veyan has carried out visits to Underground Water Directory and General Directorate of Water and Sewage in Zakho, respectively.
During the visits, the delegation held meetings with their key members, had tours to their various workplaces of their activities, and opened new channels of long-term bilateral relations with them. The main objective behind the visits to these crucial interrelated places was to strengthen and develop the linkage between our university and the water directorates and how our current undergraduate and graduate students can utilize from them such as creating opportunities for employments, apprenticeships, researches and practical training on some professional geological activities and experiences like digging water wells and other facilities and services.
It is worth mentioning that, both directories expressed their willingness to cooperate with the University of Zakho.
