On January, 2018, the staff of Career Development Center at University of Zakho Ms. Edi S. Kachal, the former director of CDC, Ms. Awaz Sabah the Career Specialist and Ms. Nazdar Hussein the Career Coordinator participated in a three day workshop entitled “Workforce Development: Strengthening Skills and Enhancing Employability,” at Salahaddin University/ cultural Center . The workshop was sponsored by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) organization.

It covered important topics for career centers such as: Setting Students Up for Success, Strategies to Engage CDCs with Industry, Role of CDCs in Maximizing the Internship Experience, Women and Leadership in the Workforce, and design day. The presenters focused on the importance of building a good relationship between private sectors and universities and maximizing the role of women in the workforce. At the end of the third day, certificates were distributed to attendances.
