On Tuesday, October 09, 2018, in a hall lecture No. 11- 102, Dr. Kanaan R. Ahmed, Head of Chemistry Department at University of Zakho delivered a lecture under the title of “Classification of Petroleum” to students of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) in Russia as a part of the International Academic Mobility Program.
Besides graduate students, lecturers from Oil and Gas Technology Department attended this lecture. The lecturer explained the classification scheme for grouping crude oils into a manageable number of categories for purposes of analysis starting by two main criteria; density and sulfur content.
