The Dean of the College of Engineering Paid an Academic Visit to the United States of America

On April 8, 2023, Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem, Dean of the College of Engineering, conducted an academic trip to the United States of America to visit Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. It was a pleasant experience meeting with the head of Departments and the academic staff of the University of Missouri of Science and Technology, and Tulsa University.

The visit aimed at enhancing the cooperation between the aforementioned universities and the University of Zakho. Moreover, the visit included numerous activities, namely: several meetings with the main members of the departments, and visiting the research and teaching laboratories, where they discussed and explained their unique research, computing techniques, and rigs. These labs are the only ones in the world for multiphase flow hydrodynamics and transport for imaging and visualization. Those fields are very beneficial for the postgraduate students of the College of Engineering. Lastly, both sides defined research projects for our Master's and Ph.D. students with joint supervision.

Noteworthy, Dr. Lokman A. Abdulkareem made a tour of the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) Space Center.
