Health and Safety Directorate is one of the most important departments in Zakho University. This department is related to encouraging, organizing and enforcing health, safety and welfare guidelines in the workplace as well as research on occupational hazards.

This department works on making the necessary preparations for research and dissemination of relevant information in order to protect the lives of teachers, employees, students and employers in the university.

Service

* Monitoring and inspection of buildings inside the university regarding health and safety.

* Monitoring and inspecting restaurants and cafeterias inside the university regarding cleanliness, health and safety.

* Spread health awareness among students and employers in the university.

The Health and Safety directorate at the university is dedicated to ensuring a secure and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff. They implement policies, conduct risk assessments, and provide guidance to promote a safe learning and working environment. This unit plays a crucial role in emergency preparedness, safety training, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
